Women and Teen's Self Defense Seminar

This seminar is being taught by J. Kevin Schmitt a retired Captain of the Campbell County
Sheriff’s Office and Sensei Heidi Inman of the Dojo of the Three Rings. Schmitt is a DCJS certified defensive tactics instructor with 29 years of law enforcement experience as well as a Total Defense/MMA Black Belt under Jamie Ridgeway at the Renaissance Academy of Martial Arts.

Sensei Inman has been studying martial arts for 28 years and is a 4 th Degree Black Belt in Shorin Ryu Karate under Frank Hargrove in Fort Eustis, Va. And has also trained in Okinawa, Japan. Inman is also a certified R.A.D. (Rape, Aggression, Defense) instructor. Inman strives for an understanding of her art as it applies to the practical application of self-defense. Heidi is the mother of a 14-year- old daughter and recognizes the importance of all women and teens having the skills and abilities to protect themselves in today’s world.

In this 3 hour seminar you will learn…

  • To be situationally aware and how to recognize and avoid danger
  • How to use personal weapons and everyday items as weapons to win encounters
  • Strategies and techniques to incapacitate attackers allowing for a successful escape

At the end of the seminar participants will leave with the confidence that they can protect themselves. Participants should wear comfortable clothing as physical participation is encouraged though not required.
